We Are Proud of Our Culture

The Department of Emergency Medicine works to foster a culture of civility where all individuals can succeed and feel valued and respected.

URM Meet and Greet

We recognize and value members of our department, bringing value from their lived experiences into the workplace and learning environment. Regardless of one’s background, all our department members are welcome here.

Further, we are working actively to challenge and respond to harassment and discrimination. We are pursuing deliberate efforts to ensure that the Department of Emergency Medicine is a place where every individual is respectfully heard. In addition, IU School of Medicine offers focused, systematic and sustained programs that align with three foundational missions: clinical care, academic exploration and education. We aim to grow and learn from each other while relentlessly pursuing an environment where each of us can thrive.

We engage in this important work to build a workforce that leads to better outcomes with decision making and patient care.
