The area surrounding the hotel, Keystone at the Crossing, offers numerous restaurants that take reservations. Consider joining us before or after dinner with your classmates.

8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Reconnect with the heart of IU School of Medicine with a guided campus tour featuring the facilities our alumni know and love. Walk through the historic halls of Coleman Hall, Emerson Hall, and the Medical Science Building, where generations of physicians and researchers began their journeys. These spaces have long served as the backdrop for discovery, learning, and lifelong memories for countless alumni, anchoring our history in the heart of Indianapolis.

Now, see how that legacy continues with the new Medical Education and Research Building, opening in 2025. This state-of-the-art facility features innovative classrooms, a bright atrium gathering space, advanced anatomy labs, and an eight-story research tower designed to support the next generation of medical education and research. Join us for the 79th annual Strawberry Shortcake Luncheon as we honor this year’s recipients of the Distinguished Medical Alumni Award; George Sorrells, Jr., MD, Community Physician Award; Early Career Achievement Award; and the Glenn W. Irwin, Jr., MD, Distinguished Faculty Award. This time-honored tradition has been a highlight of Medical Alumni Weekend ever since IU physicians were first served the cream and crimson treat in 1947.
