Bio
Kristy Bixler, PhD, MS, is an Assistant Research Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Children’s Health Services Research at the Indiana School of Medicine. She is an educator and researcher with expertise in mixed methods assessment, mental health, special education, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care with youth. She serves as the Associate Director of the Grant Support Team where she works with early and senior investigators on submitting K Award and R-series grants. She oversees the full lifecycle of the grant application process, from development to submission. She coordinates and contributes to the development of grant proposals by editing and revising content; integrating components; assembling complete submission packages (e.g., biosketches, letters of support, etc.); and reviewing budgets and proposals for regulatory compliance and consistency with sponsor guidelines. She ensures timely submission of multiple concurrent proposals, identifies funding opportunities, and serves as a liaison across departments and programs.
